A nurse practitioner and certified hypnotherapist based in Bend, Oregon, Victoria Deeks serves at Viva Gyn, focusing on women’s health, preventive care, annual examinations, hormone therapy for perimenopause and menopause, weight management, and medication management. Victoria Deeks also operates Central Oregon Hypnotherapy, using hypnotherapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients address anxiety, depression, pain, insomnia, phobias, trauma, and life transitions.
Previously, Ms. Deeks served as a nurse practitioner at Kaiser Permanente, where she managed a patient panel of up to 1,400 people and provided examinations, medication management, laboratory and imaging reviews, preventive care, and specialist referrals. She later served at Peak Medical Clinic in functional medicine, hormone management, primary care, internal medicine, and chronic illness management.
Outside healthcare, Ms. Deeks has commercially fished for salmon in Bristol Bay, helped build a home, and spent time horseback riding and skiing. She lives with her partner in Bend and enjoys rural life, outdoor activities, animals, attending Unity Spiritual Community of Central Oregon, and spending time with her four sons and seven grandchildren. Ms. Deeks earned a master of science in nursing from the University of Portland. She completed a post-master’s certificate as an advanced practice gerontological nurse at Oregon Health and Sciences University.
